  • PreK and Kindergarten Orientation Information

    YBES parents and families,

First thank you for your participation and support during our Open House last night.

Our PreK and Kindergarten orientation will be held on Monday, August 14th from 8:50 to 11:50.  This orientation day is strictly voluntary and intended for students only.  Our goal for the day is allowing students to become familiar with their new building, teachers, and routines.

Bus transportation will be provided for students only.  If your child is riding a bus on Monday the 14th, pick up and drop off will be at the location provided to the school division. If adjustments are required for drop off locations for this orientation day, please contact your child’s school immediately.

Your child will be picked up at normal scheduled time.  We anticipate all PreK and Kindergarten students being dropped off at their assigned bus stop between 11:50AM and 12:15. Please be reminded for safety reasons CCPS will not drop off your elementary child without an adult being present at the stop.

Car riders are expected to be dropped off at 8:50 and picked up at 11:50.

We hope to see your child on Monday.

    Tiger Teachers and Guardians,

We are so very excited that the playground improvements will be completed soon!  The kids are very happy with the updates and have enjoyed playing the last couple of weeks.

The new piece of equipment has been installed, the new boarders have been installed, the new rubber mats are in place and one tractor trailer load of wood carpet has already been spread.  In the next few weeks the replacement swing will be added, the yellow freestanding poles will be removed and the additional three tractor trailer loads of wood carpet will be delivered and spread.

Thank you all for your support of the fundraising needed to make these changes possible!  We wanted to give you an update on the money that has been spent and will be spent over the next few years to make sure that the playground stays safe for our students to use.

  • PTA Needs Volunteers for Field Day
    Tiger Teachers & Guardians:

Field Day is fast approaching and we need help to make the day a success!  Field Day will be Tuesday, May 30th.

We need volunteers to each man one of 12 Carnival Games that will be going on in the back of the school.  The shifts are split up into different grade levels so that you can still be with your child and their rotation that day.  You will only have to man the game (basically take tickets from students and set games back up) for roughly 45 minutes.

We also need volunteers to help with the Sno Cones that will be in the side parking lot.  The shifts are split up into different grade levels so that you can still be with your child and their rotation.

Please click the link below to sign up for a shift or two:

Please also share this link with friends or family that might also be joining us that day, but are not on our current email list.
